Graphic Designer

Meri Meri is an award-winning global children’s lifestyle brand that specialises in high end party products, accessories, play and home. We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer (Print and Digital) to join our growing Graphics Design team in the Cheltenham studio. It’s an exciting time to join us as we continue to expand our e-com business. 

The ideal candidate will have a few years of experience in digital design, efficient at working with different digital platforms and apps. You will have a keen eye on colour palettes and great attention to detail. You are capable of following brand guidelines and proud to be a brand ambassador. The ability to create excellent typography layout will also be needed to excel in this designer role.

Key skills

· The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience as an online and print graphic designer

· Attention to detail is the most important quality we seek from a candidate

· Experience of working with e-commerce brands (in-house). Open to candidates who have worked in agencies/freelanced.

· It is essential you have strong experience with digital platforms

· Excellent knowledge of Adobe CC 

· Understand the importance of following brand guidelines but also able to think ‘outside of the box’

·Comfortable with artworking any design projects

·Confident seeing through all stages of a project from concept to completion

· Excellent time management skills and be able to work under pressure

·Willingness to grow with the company

·You must be hard working and love what you do, you should connect with our brand and products

·Capable of picking up new programs/digital online platforms quickly

Responsibilities

·Regular Day to Day: emails, blog posts, website refresh, social media assets, adverts, digital content, print collateral, animated assets…

·Artwork print material and digital assets

·Proof check your own work and make sure all details are looked at.

·Able to meet deadlines and manage last-minute amendments

·Provide support to other designers within the team

·Be a brand ambassador and ensure all works are on brand

This is a full-time position, no freelance applications please. The role is based in our Cheltenham studio with 2 days flexibility to work remotely.

started in 1985 when founder Meredithe Stuart-Smith sold Meri Meri’s firstrange of glittery greeting cards to Bergdorf Goodman in New York City.Tableware and bunting soon followed, along with the invention of the ‘cupcakekit’ in 2008. Now selling in 69 countries, in over 5,000 shops and online, MeriMeri continues to reinvent the luxury children’s birthday party withcouture-quality dress-up and a newly introduced reuseable partyware range. We have offices in Cheltenham UK, Reno Nevada and teams in California.

Compliance
Administrator

About the
role

• We are seeking a Compliance Administrator to assist our in-house Compliance Manager in our Studio in Cheltenham.
• This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in our Studio and really learn and understand how we ensure our stunning products are safe & compliant.
• You will liaise with our global factories and our colleagues in the US.
• This is a full-time position and will initially be on a temporary basis with a view to go permanent for the right person.
• Although this is role is working as part of a creative department, this is not a creative role.

Responsibilities

 • Helping to track products through the test process including chasing suppliers to send samples to test complete - to keep tracker updated with this information.
• Helping to collate & upload existing documents for relevant parties.
• Chasing suppliers for compliance information.
• Providing general administrative support to the Compliance Manager. 

Tasks include

 • Collation of information
• Completion of forms including data input and adding images
• Submission of data
• Email management
 

About you

 • Attention to detail & willingness to learn essential.
• No prior experience of product compliance is required.
 

Key Skills

 • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook & Word.
• Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at once.
• Able to pick up new processes quickly. 

Working Hours

 • Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with a 30 minute break for lunch.
• Based in Cheltenham, UK – this is an onsite role.

Multidisciplinary Designer

Are you a talented and creative multidisciplinary designer with a passion for illustration, crafting, and staying on top of the latest interior and fashion trends? Are you able to work both as part of a team and independently? Do you have an urban sensibility and enjoy travelling?

Meri Meri is looking for a designer in our Cheltenham studio who can work within our house style while bringing fresh and unique designs to our brand. Our ideal candidate has experience in various design fields, with a strong focus on illustration and crafting 

As a designer at Meri Meri, you'll work with a team of talented creatives to design and develop our signature party ware, dress up, home decor and children's products. You'll have the opportunity to bring your unique style to our brand while staying true to our aesthetic and values.

We value creativity, innovation, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and be able to deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines. Familiarity with Adobe illustrator is preferred.
